There are many ways members can get involved in the League of Women Voters Knoxville-Knox County! Whether you can dedicate a few hours or make a long-term commitment, your efforts will help us reach more people in our community.

Join the Board or a Committee

Board members play a vital role in advancing our mission. They provide strategic leadership, shape policies, and assist in fundraising and financial management. Board members also promote community engagement, support membership growth, and organize educational events.

Our Committees are essential to our operations and mission. Committees collaborate on projects, organize events, and ensure that our initiatives align with the league’s goals.

Voter Registration

Volunteers play a crucial role in educating citizens about their voting rights, facilitating the registration process, and ensuring that more voices are heard in elections. By helping individuals register to vote, volunteers empower people to participate in the democratic process, fostering a more informed and engaged electorate.

Observer Corps

The Observer Corps program encourages civic engagement by exercising your right to know what’s happening in your community. It promotes public trust in government, as well as transparency and accountability. Observer Corps volunteers attend local government meetings to take notes and report back to their League.
