The Knox County Retirement & Pension Board oversees retirement and pension benefits for disability participants and retirees of Knox County Government and Knox County Schools (non-certified).
Benefits include Basic and Supplemental Life Insurance, Disability Benefits, Medical Expense Retirement Plan, Retirement Benefits as well as Medical Insurance after disability and retirement.
The Retirement & Pension Board structure includes the following:

County Mayor
4 County Commissioners
2 Employee Elected Representatives from County Government Active Employees and Active Certified Teachers from Plan A
2 Employee Elected Representatives from Non-Certified Schools Active Employees
